Coming Soon - Spring 2026 -
Recalibrate — together.
Hidden among forest, quiet water, and open land, these retreats are rooted in purpose, shaped by vision, and driven by results.
For a limited number of weekends each year, humans and their dogs are invited to stay together on the property for an immersive experience that blends canine training, human coaching, and holistic restoration; not as separate offerings, but as one integrated practice.
This is not a board-and-train.
And it is not a vacation in the conventional sense.
It is time set aside to recalibrate, together.
The Experience
-
Each retreat is entirely private, reserved for one individual or one couple and their dog.
The work centers on understanding how behavior emerges, how dogs communicate through movement, posture, and timing, and how to shapes reliable behavior.
You are coached alongside your dog. Throughout the retreat, we explore how your nervous system, emotional state, and patterns of communication influence the dog you live with every day. You’ll learn to recognize subtle signals, anticipate shifts before they escalate, and respond in ways that create safety, trust, and coherence rather than confusion.
This is not about “fixing” a dog.
It is about learning to read, listen, and understand each other. In parallel, you are held in an environment designed to support your own regulation and presence:
quiet mornings
guided conversations and reflective dialogue
long walks through forest and open land
unstructured time to rest, read, or simply be
There is space here — physical and psychological — to slow down, recalibrate, and notice what usually goes unseen.
Meals are prepared and provided on site, with dietary preferences and needs thoughtfully discussed in advance, for both humans and dogs. Nourishment is treated as part of the experience, not a logistical detail.
Transportation is handled with the same care and intention. Guests may choose private driver service from the city or a coordinated pickup at the Port Jervis train station, allowing the transition into the retreat to feel as seamless as the stay itself.
There is no schedule to rush.
No performance to deliver.
No role to play.Only presence, attention, and a shared language slowly coming into focus.

These retreats are for those who sense that behavior, stress, and imbalance rarely live on just one end of the leash.
They are for humans who want to deepen understanding, not outsource it.
For dogs who thrive when their people are calm, clear, and embodied.
This retreat is for people who feel uneasy about sending their dog away to be trained without them.
For those who’ve considered board-and-train programs, but hesitated — not because they don’t want results, but because something about the separation doesn’t sit right. Because your dog isn’t a project to outsource, and trust matters.
It’s also for people who may have tried traditional training before and noticed a familiar pattern: the dog returns home “perfect,” only for behaviors to slowly unravel weeks later. Not because the dog failed — but because the human was never brought into the process. The environment changed, the handling changed, and the shared language was never truly built.
This retreat exists precisely in that gap.
It’s designed for guardians who understand that lasting change comes from clarity, timing, and emotional consistency, on both ends of the leash.
This experience is for those who want to:
deepen their understanding of how their dog communicates
learn why behaviors emerge, not just how to stop them
build skills they can carry home and apply in real life
strengthen the relationship, not just modify outcomes
It’s for dogs who benefit when their people slow down, listen more closely, and become steadier guides.
And it’s for humans who know, intuitively, that the most meaningful progress happens together.
